Yeh it does, Mao just hasn't reattached the file since the site update. Here -> Re: GA SCORE ESTIMATOR / STUDY SCORE ESTIMATOR

I'll pm Mao to add it to the original post.

Mao had a small tutorial with the original version, don't know where it is though. That's actually quite good, I don't have to go looking for the grade distributions anymore, although it will be out of date when the new ones are released next time round.

i promise that next year, i'll develop a web-based version which can fetch the numbers straight from the vcaa website, it'll put my rusting programming skills back into shape and hopefully i'll learn some C#/java

the only issue is that i'm not sure how to parse a pdf file, i know daniel15 managed to write a script for it when he wrote his ATAR calculator, might try to ask him about it

If you do you should get onto him and build it into the atarcalc website, that way everything is all in the one place.

It looks like atarcalc.com uses PHP, so it'd probably be better to stick with PHP if you're going to work with daniel15 on integrating it into the site. Avoiding a programming language debate but I think pretty much all those scripting languages have modules for processing PDF's pretty easily. I'd imagine PHP would have a similar simple method for processing them as well.

Pretty awesome idea by the way, good luck with it.
