Hey y'all,
What kind of pens would you guys recommend to write with? e.g. studying, essay writing, etc.
Also the best ones with handling, writing, speed, and maybe even form a table with statistics, anything to give a nice idea regarding pen choice.  :)

All I hear these days is "Parker, Parker, Parker!"  :) ;) :D ;D

Them pens...

Thanks guys, leave comments below  ;)

Hey! First things first, DO NOT use a fountain pen; writing for VCE is about being neat - a friend of mine managed to spill half a bottle of ink on his biol exam when refilling his fountain pen.

For note-taking:

Fine Liner pen (http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Office-Supplies/Stationery/Pens/Fine-Liner-Pens)
  • Writes quickly and comfortably
  • Handles comfortably

For essay writing:

Rolling-ball type pen
invest in a good one (http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Office-Supplies/Stationery/Pens/Rolling-Ball-Pens/JASX210CBK)
  • Smooth writing
  • Ink dries quickly, so less risk of smudging for fast writers

A Parker ballpoint pen is also quite good, but significantly more expensive.

Bic Kilometrico or whatever they're called! I love them. They're so cheap too, so if your friends steal them. It isn't too much of a big deal.

uniball pens are so good.

they are a bit expensive (3-5$) and don't last a lifetime, but they are incredibly great for writing

you can get them at the monash book store, but i've never seen them at kmart or officeworks etc. I haven't been to kmart/officeworks in like 3 years

Last year I went through this stationery obsession phase and after a lot of research, I decided to buy a Pilot Hi-Tec C Coleto Lumio. It's probably the best pen I've ever used but it is quite pricey.

Because it was so precious, I stored it in its own case and kept it at home instead of taking it to school and using it like it meant to be used.

   It's $16.50

Yeah, parker's nice to write with (but really heavy which sucks in exams)

For speed and handling etc. I use fineliners--there's this 0.4 one from papermate that's really light and it's really good b/c I have tendonitis & get  sore hands easily :P
