Hey again,

I've created another Exam 1 which you guys could try if you like. In my opinion, it's a tad harder than the last one, so we'll see how everyone goes. I hope everyone did well on English.

Awesome, Hancock. I'll have a go at it soon, maybe later tonight if I'm bored.

Also chucking the link into the resources thread with your other one.

Thanks everyone, I hope it's helping you all prepare for Methods on Wednesday :)

BTW: Mediafire is apparently down at the moment, but it should be up soon. If not, I'll chuck them on a different filesharing site.

Hancock, how did you do question 2a) without calculator?
you use u substitution.. make u= 3x^2, find du/dx = 6x
therefore, dx=du/6x
and solve from there

btw, very good exam, liked it
probably one of the best exam 1's ive seen going round
perfect vcaa style

Awesome, cheers buddy. I'm glad you liked it.

Exam 1's are kind of easy to make, because after you've done heaps you know what questions they will ask. Exam 2 on the other hand...

Nice exam mate, really well written ;)

However, on first inspection I don't think 2a is really a methods question. I'll admit it could certainly be done intuitively by some, but I don't think it's on the study design.

Hmmm, I suppose not, more a spesh one. However, since I can sort of be done with Methods techniques, I don't think it's a massive reach. Sort of like how they used the constant of proportionality in the Exam 2 last year. All my non-spesh friends were like WTF.

Thanks for the advice though :)

for #6 b)
how do you get radius =[value given in answers] when Volume of sphere = ?
or is this just me?

for #7 c)
in the answers, you keep referring to and not
not sure if the final answer is correct, but the working out is definitely not.

but overall awesome work. I found it certainly a bit tougher than your first exam

Ah shizzle, the volume was meant to be 32pi/3 which would make it r =  that value. I'm fixing it now.

However, with the answers, I just fixed it to say 7pi/4. It was originally 3pi/2 and I didn't change it when I changed the questions. The answer for 7c is correct however. Thanks for letting me know, I'm updating the files now.

Ok guys, I just fixed some errors and uploaded the corrected files. So if you've downloaded them before, give these knew ones a download before you start.

Cheers
