Hey guys,

I've created a Methods Exam 1 which I've distributed to some of my students and got generally good feedback. If anyone what's to try it and shoot me some feedback it would be welcome. Link to the file and solutions are down below.

Cheers guys.

I ended up sitting it now. I finished in just under an hour. It seemed fairly on-par with VCAA.

I went pretty well on it, screwed up my arithmetic on question 6b and c though. (oh well you had two question 6a's, by 6b I mean the second 6a :P).

Is question 3b in the study design? I thought 1/x and by recognition were the only logs we could get through integration.

Definitely on the study design.

VCAA 2011 Exam 1 Question 2 is a similar question.

Well-written, semi-challenging exam, good job :)
Hancock, Any guess as to what the A+ cut-off would be out of 38, for this?

I'm not really too sure, probably 34-35ish (going by methods being ~36 for an A+). I've had a couple of students do it and they got 29, 29 and 34 (they are generally B/B+ students so we were happy).

So yeah, I reckon 34-35 would be a good bet. I'm going to be making another on the weekend probably (was considering Exam 2 but it would take too much effort when I have exams as well) so keep a look out :)
