Hi guys

With time at my disposal, I decided to have another crack at Photoshop

This...

turned into this!

Feel free to critique! Had lots of fun making it, but gave up in the end :P

okay..I saw the first pic and my response was "ooh this is very pretty''
then to your altered version and was very shocked to see how such a serene and calm place was turned into doomsday!!

But I would have to say thats pretty cool, I wouldn't have guessed you altered a picture..if you get what I mean. First guess would have been a designed image.. good work

always imagined photoshop  hard to use

Well the first thing I thought when I saw it was "WOW!" :D. It really is striking and I think it's really good how you've managed to make it so powerful, it sort of just hits you at once. The red cloud backdrop as well as the black cloud at the top of the tower are especially well done, and the black tower itself is also integrated quite nicely.

If I could make any suggestions for improvement, I'd say the dragon in the far right of the image seems like it's just been copied and pasted in there, I think you should either get rid of it or try adapt it to fit the image better. Also, the blue smoke from the volcano, the white clouds from which the red lightening descends and the blue lightening from the top of the tower seem to somewhat stand out, for whatever reason it just feels like they're not blended in enough and I find it obstructs from the rest of the image.

That said, really, really good work. I honestly think it's quite good - please put up more haha.

Thanks guys
Yea, some of the stuff didn't blend well, the towers height in perspective to the cloud vortex is ridiculous. But I gave up at the end :P

I'll see what I can in two months time
