Hey guys
Is there anyone doing commerce/engineering @ monash? How is the course like, and what kind of jobs can you get into and just anything about the course in general.
Thanks!

I'm only in first year so I can't tell you a lot.

The first year commerce units in my opinion are a lot more straightforward than the engineering units, so it's wise to choose a wise balance. Otherwise the course is great, gets you access to two massive faculties, you can get involved in quite a lot of groups as a result of that, and as an Engineer a business background is always useful. A lot of commerce related firms may look at you favourably for your engineering degree (shows a perceived strong background in mathematics, analytical ability etc).

As for jobs, you can go into normal commerce, normal engineering, or a business job in an engineering company (which I imagine is the dream for a lot doing the course).
vce: english, methods, spesh, chemistry, physics, geography.
