my teacher said that at the end of the year, when external assessors are marking exams they have a sheet beside them with a school's cohort rank. If a person who ranked last gets the only A+ in the cohort, the examiners will disregard their SAC marks, claiming the teacher must just of been an idiot and thus a persons SACS can be bumped up significantly.E.g. from C+ to B+
one of my other teachers said that ' dont rely on SACs to get you good marks, at the end of the day exams are more important. If you get 100% on the exam, do you really think they would deny you a 50?'
I don't know if they are making these comments for the sake of keeping up motivated or if they are really being legitimate.
