Undertaking Uni in VCE?

Hi,

Weird question, but possible if anyone knows the answer for some reason:

If someone was repeating year 12 subjects / doing new ones and they had already done their vtac preferences and got an offer, and enrolled into VCE at tafe.
Is there a possibility to do the vce subjects and part-time few university subjects of a degree (so end of year you dont get a full year of uni)? it doesn't seem like it'll be against any rules since you've already finished year 12 and just doing extra vce... and i couldn't find this anywhere. Does anyone know if this is possible?

And if so, would they actually monitor what subjects cross, so doing like Specialist maths as a new subject, and then also Calculas 1 at uni?
...that's slightly cheating but it isn't really!;)

haha, anyone know anything about this?

thankssssss

I honestly can't see why you'd even want to do this.

I don't know whether or not it's allowed, but I get the feeling that it would be a gigantic pain to organise it. You'd need to enrol in uni as a part time student and commit to 4 subjects for the year, whilst still attending whatever TAFE you enrol into. Since VCE and uni exams overlap I would pray that you don't have two exams scheduled at the same time...(year 12 biology was at the same time/day as 1st semester biology last year, it can happen). If you call or email enough people, you'll probably get a definitive answer but it'll be a fair bit of effort to work it all out.

If you do this, good luck I guess lol

Also have no idea what this means.

Haha that'd be so annoying, nah it'd be extremely easy to organise, just enroll in 2 uni subjects and enroll in 2-3 vce subjects :\ i'd prefer to do this over doing just vce, besides doing two subjects that are the same (spesh+calculus 1) will make you get such a good score in spesh that you will be guaranteed to do well in vce. that's why i'd do it.
but at the same time i wouldn't because if i did, i couldn't applying for mbbs at monash or uq.

It means i haven't done a year of uni... So i'd be applying as a school-leaver to uni courses and not as a uni student.

100% to the courses i'm looking at.
it's always 'if you complete less than a year of university, you will be assessed on the basis of your high school results'

ahh unneeded thread, i decided to just call them before, and it's definitely possible, it seems like cheating almost, to do the same subjects in uni as in vce :\

Make sure they accept 1 year part time as "less than a year"
