But, in my defense I'm left handed, so anything I write is going to end up smudged anyway. I'm always walking out of exams (English mostly) with the entire side of my palm covered in ink.
I'm the exact same haha

How do you guys sit a proper practice exam? I mean I often get distracted by internet, phone, music, etc etc. should I go to the library or stay back after school? :(

A few options for noisy study spots:
  • move places. (If you can, get to school early or stay back as long as you can, stake out the local library, etc. Do whatever suits you the best.)
  • implement some agreement on when others around you can either contact you, be noisy, etc. if you can. (Obviously, this is supposed to be an idea for home for your family. The other plan is to yell at them to be quiet, which doesn't go down well.)
  • ignore it. (If you can will yourself to ignore it, this is absolutely fine. Just set the timer and away you go!)

Technological distractions:
  • Will yourself. Put the phones/devices/whatever it is where it'll be far out of reach or hide it (the back of your underwear drawer is pretty nifty.) Stick reminders (to NOT check your phone) everywhere.
  • If you can't, get your family/friend/relative to help you out. Just ask them to hold on to your phone for safe-keeping and only take it back on breaks. Tell everyone that you usually contact that you'll only be available for talking on certain days/times.
  • While being great for communication, the Internet also has free procrastination killing apps. If you're a Chrome-user, some of the good stuff is actually in your extensions tab and searching for some. If you're a Windows person, check up something like Cold Turkey. There are others, just ask the experts... or Google.

Hey guys, was wondering how many SACS you guys have left. They are getting really annoying, taking away valuable exam preparation time.

I've got 5 left, my last SAC is in the last day of term 3.

2013-2014:| VCE
2015-2018:| Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) @ UoM
2019-X:| Doctor of Dental Surgery (discontinued)
2019 -2021:| Master of Physiotherapy

Currently: Physiotherapist working at a musculoskeletal clinic. Back pain, sore neck, headaches or any other pain limiting your study? Give me a PM (although please do see your personal health professional first!)

Any questions related to pathways towards studying dentistry or physiotherapy? Gimmi a PM!

We're actually almost finished.... Going to miss this and year 12! Despite the stress and other mixed emotions, the road was fun and one to remember!
Exams are around the corner, literally. The biggest step of out 12/13 years of education. I don't know about you guys, but seriously its kind of odd and scary thinking of it that way haha.

It feels like we're coming to an end, but in reality, it's only beginning. Good luck all  8)

and Marsbareater12, how exciting! What does it look like? Do many people wear full length dresses to your val? I'm re wearing a dress I wore to a friend's formal - shock horror, a girl re wearing a dress to an event!

On a side note, where do people have their valedictory ceremonies?

It's covered with like, pop-artesque decals, with a sewn in petticoat on the bottom and a strapless sweetheart neckline - very 50s. :D And length of our dresses depends on the year; this year it's full length, but mine and a friends are both tea length. Ours is in the Grand, in Brighton, I think.

Ohh, picture please !  ;D

I wish I could - phone's busted and my laptop webcam is terrible! In addition, it was purchased from a vintage store, so I can't even grab a stock photo :'(

I discovered Prductivity Owl the other day and it's literally the best thing ever. You set designated free time/study time, and in study time, if you're on a tab for more than x amount of seconds (I have mine set at 3 minutes), a little cartoon owl swoops up and closes the tab. So cute ♥  productivityowl.com, is the url, I'm fairly sure (chrome only, though).

How on earth do you guys manage to battle through sickness? I'm off school for a week due to it, and I'm getting nothing done, and it's so stressful! D:

I love vintage clothing - I always have liked using fashion to express my individuality. I bought my dress I'm wearing to val from a vintage dress seller in England on ASOS marketplace, but they don't exist anymore  :'( so sad because their stuff was amazing and it was so cheap too!

In terms of sickness, as the ad goes...
"with codral you can soldier on" - pretty much my attitude when I get sick! Hope you feel better  :)

I've got 5 left, my last SAC is in the last day of term 3.

I've got 5 left as well. I have 3 SACs this term: an Accounting SAC next week and one for both Physics and English L. during the last week of this term. Annoyed that I have 2 SACs left next term, one for Spesh and one for Accounting - my teachers feel that if they finish their SACs too early a lot of students will not work as hard as they could be over the holidays. I just want Unit 4 SACs to be done...

I've been really motivated for Accounting, Physics and Spesh, but I've been finding it the most difficult getting work done for English Language. I just feel I'm not into the sort of work that English Language involves (all the writing and all). But I recently set targets on how much I want to do before the exam so hopefully that'll get me working harder for the subject.
