Should I take CSL 1/2 in Year 10?

I try to speak Chinese with my parents but it isn't that good. I can listen and understand it well and I can write and read it at an adequate level. Should I take Chinese next year? Or should I opt for an easier subject to take one year earlier?

How much does Chinese get marked up in VCE? What is considered decent when compared to another subject that you can take one year earlier?

Also, do any of you have links that you can link me to that has Units 1/2 practice exams so I can get an estimate of my actual skill level and what skills should I develop so I can be ready for the next 2 years.

It's hard to judge your level without actually meeting/having a conversation with you etc :P

few tips/questions/random stuffs:
-do you current attend a chinese school? if so, ask your teacher for advice and his/her opinions. They will most likely know you level better :P
-are you planning to do chinese at some stage of vce? if so weigh the pros/cons of having an extra year (and have it thrown amongst your other subjects) vs doing it one year earlier (with less prep but more "time" overall)

Chinese (second language) scales a heap, SLA scales a bit less but is still considered a lot. The only scaling that could rival CSL is probs either another LOTE or Spesh (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

idk if there's any 1/2 practice exams, i think each chinese school has their own set of material and stuff which they use :P

only if you are really good would i suggest taking chinese a year early. otherwise you can use the extra year to learn more vocabulary etc. in general, unless you have a background from that country and speak it/write it fluently, languages are too hard to do a year early. if you work hard, some good subjects to do a year earlier are methods 3/4 or bio 3/4, but it also depends which subjects you are best at and which ones you are interested in!
